Chief Executive Officer
Kirk Leonardelli brings over two decades of experience in the Hospital and Health System marketplace. He has held senior leadership roles in sales, business operations, mergers & acquisitions, and marketing at organizations on the fortune 300 list. During that time he owned and ran a medical device distributorship, sold surgical instrumentation, orthopedic and trauma implants, capital equipment, disposables, SaaS, staffing services, and diagnostics testing. Most recently Kirk worked for Laboratory Corporation of America as Division Head, Sales and Commercial Strategy, running commercial operations for the newly formed Health Systems Operating Division. He built a staff from the ground up to optimize the outsourcing of laboratory services (98 hospitals), testing, and labor throughout the continental United States. This experience taught him the importance of outsourcing partnerships and how critical a role third party organizations will play in the landscape of the Global Health System infrastructure in the years ahead. During his time as part of the Medical Device Leadership he was responsible for quota/budgets nearing $700M while keeping focus on the things that matter most: the people he served, his providers, and their patients. Kirk resides in Kansas City with his wife (who works as a Physician) and three children. When he isn’t working you will find him coaching his son's soccer team, working out, spending time with his family at their lake cabin, or enjoying his daughters performing on stage, playing sports, and creating new games to play.
Chief Financial Officer
Omar was most recently the CFO for Admera Health, a Precision Medicine and Biopharmaceutical Research Services Company. Previous to this, Omar has had a successful career in private equity, investment banking and has held CFO positions with various companies in the oil & gas and energy sectors. Furthermore, Omar has acquired over 30 businesses and advised on over $6 billion in M&A transactions; raised over $13 billion in debt and equity and managed several initial public offerings. He has also helped revamp reporting procedures to eliminate restatements of historical results and dramatically improved time to produce financials. In addition, he’s established KPI reports well received by private equity investors, NYSE Boards, and commercial lenders.
Betty Casey, MSN, RN, CNOR, CRCST, CHL
SVP of Operations
With more than 30 years of leadership experience, Elizabeth Casey, MSN, RN, CNOR has served in surgical services, women/children, cardiovascular, and outpatient surgery as well as academic-based programs. Her experience includes Level 1 trauma centers and outpatient surgical joint ventures. Her passion is in setting systems and processes to allow for innovative changes in today’s healthcare setting.
Eartha Thomas, CRCST, CSIS, CER
Eartha joined Surgical Solutions in November of 2020 and became one of our Clinical Educators in February of 2021. Previously, she worked at MD Anderson for 15 years. She has held positions as a Sterile Processing Technician, Lead Technician, Instrument Specialist, Supervisor, and most recently, the HLD Sterilization Educator in Infection Control. During her last position, she worked closely to assist during Joint Commission and CMS surveys on aspects of Sterilization and High-Level Disinfection. She has a passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge with our field teams. In her free time, she is a mother of four who enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
George Cybulski, M.D.
George Cybulski, M.D. is the Physician-Advisor for Surgical-Solutions, Inc. George is a Neurosurgeon who recognized the integral value of sterile processing of instruments for the safety and efficiency of spine and brain operations. This led to a commitment to further understand the value of sterile instrument processing as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and in Healthcare Management (MBA). With this background and comprehensive experience George brings the knowledge and credibility to interact with all stakeholders to create value in safety, cost, efficiency and outcome of surgical procedures. George has had prior experience in leadership in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, Veterans Administration Hospital, private hospitals and a clinical chairman in one of the nation’s largest public healthcare systems along with a co-founder of an off-site sterile instrument processing company in 2019-2020.
